With mine, I can understand matty (as owner and I guess I needed to be checked for something ;)), And with Colintjones, he was probaly confirming I was someone he new from another forum. But as for the others???

I know when you are buying or selling, you'd probably check this. :thumbs: Me pesonally...well i like to check out people with a line through their names,;) people from my region, :cool: people who come across as trolls :D or people who have checked me out. :p

But seriously, no, Mexico does not use vosotros. The only place I can think that it would be used would be in the King James Bible. People use it all the time, even though it is the least understandable translation. I went to an American school in Mexico (as I am part American), and the textbook for Spanish that we used was written in Spain. So when we came across a part that had "vosotros" or any other words of that sort, we just skipped them.
How often does vosotros get used? Do you hear it on the street or is it more for formal situations?

Used in everyday speech here. Before I came here I was learning via a CD course. It was only when I got here did I realise that I'd been learning Latin American Spanish (yes I know there are a number of variants!) and not Spanish Spanish :bonk::bonk::bonk:

Became really apparent when I started Spanish school here 3 years ago. The teacher would ask us ¿lo veis? or tell us "vais a trabajar en parejas ahora". So straightaway I could see there was a whole conjugation that I didn't even know existed! :lol:
 
Quite a shock I'm sure! I have been aware of that conjugation ever since I was little but because it's never used I didn't know (and still am not sure) how it all works. But I think that if I were thrown into Spain I could deal with it :)

Most visits I make are normally by mistake due to my poor hand eye co-ordination.

oooo I've got a mention. :) As other people have said I only go on profiles to check when I'm maybe buying something. All the other times it's down to fat finger (or fat mouse) syndrome. I can't imagine why I'd want to check you out dod :lol:
