What do you think? Did we go over the top for a gig in our local?

And did I go for total overkill with my kit? :p

No way, you need loads more than that! :D

Not loud enough.:D:)

The PA rig is new, and sufficient for an indoor event with 800 guests, or outdoor with 600...

Just make sure all volume controls are turned up to 11 and you'll be fine.

It was crazy loud in there anyway. The 2 main PA amps didn't go past 25% and the main mis level on the desk was only about 1/3!

well some would say its not how much kit you have but how much talent?;);)

although that might have been before the likes of X factor came on our screens:eek:

nice setup :D

get some ratchet straps for those speaker stacks though, especially if you're planning on using them outside :)

Already strapped, you can just see it in the top pic if you look closely :)

... mic'd drums in a pub, whens the gig I wanna come :D

Last night :D I always mic my kit, just for more depth than anything else in this case. Quite often we play much larger venues though, and it needs to be mic'd.

Perhaps we need some more gear!

That looks so cool Steve. I'd love to be able to go out with such minimal kit!

jesus , did most of the crowd go out screaming with bleeding ears  , reminds me of a maiden gig at newcastle city hall , i couldnt hear for 2 days out of my right ear

It was ****in' loud in there, but quieter than the last time I saw Dream Theater, and according to my bassist and 2 guitarists, quieter than Muse were at the NIA last week  DB reading was 97db during the sound check, and it was turned down slightly before we started. That's the best thing with a large PA, it'll cope with pretty much anything we can throw at it. It was it's first use, and on future gigs in the same pub we won't take the whole stack.

i want that drum kit...

i'm currently "working" on the missus,to let me get another drum kit...well,i have 2 spare bedrooms needing filling with something, and i love playing the drums although it's been a fairly long time since i've done so...
