PS3 game recommendation please

Hi chaps,

Big fan of Cod 4: Modern Warfare. As there is still a 5 month wait until modern warfare 2 I wonder if you could recommend something that will tide me over till November?

I have CoD 5: got bored!! Is killzone 2 or infamous any good. CoD 4 being my benchmark.

depends on type of game you want.

A one with net play? I like resistance ( I have both), Killzone 2

None net play? I like mirrors edge,

Infamous is a really good game. I'm having trouble staying off it. :) It's a lot like Crackdown on the 360 if you've ever played that. It's certainly one of the best exclusives that the PS3 has. It's a very different style of game to the COD franchise though.

Killzone2 is a good game as well. Graphically it's incredible and it's a good FPS. I never really enjoyed the multiplayer side of it though for some reason I really can't put my finger on.

I think Infamous is the better game of the two but it's single player only. I would guess you would get around 20 hours out of it as you can make different decisions throughout the game so it plays differently. KZ2 is a shorter single player game but has the multiplayer side of things to up the playtime. KZ2 is also more COD-ish if you want more of the same(ish.)

IMHO though, the best exclusive the PS3 has is Uncharted. If you've not played that then it's well worth a look and can be bagged for a tenner s/h. Again, it's single player only.

Thanks chaps. Will check out some of the recommendations. Just downloaded the demos of Infamous and KZ2.
 
Checkout Fallout 3, seriously ace game. Played it solidly for probably 5 months since buying it, simply brilliant.
 
hi mate, I know it's quite old, but the Colin McRae DiRT game is VERY good and I can't till the DiRT 2 is out
 
yeah, ive got CM DiRT. Co-driver whine drives me nuts (no pun intended). Spoils a good game - very good with G25 wheel and pedals though.

I ended up buying KZ2.
