Hi folks,

After trailing PSE8 then PSE9, Aperture, LR3 and CS5 (which I can't afford anyway!) I've bought myself a copy of PSE9 OSX from a jungle themed online retailer.
First impressions seem ok but I'll need to come up with a workflow to replace my windows one of RAW-CaptureNX-JPEG-PSE4.

Apparently I can convert my PSE4 catalogue to PSE9 but on a windows machine only so I can download the free trial onto my netbook, do the conversion on there and transfer it to my iMac, sounds so simple it probably won't work!! I'll update over the weekend to let you know if it does. :bang::bonk:

A mate of mine has bought elements 9 and thinks it's very good, he's using cs5 at work and tells me they have taken the best bits out of cs5 and put them in elements, he's more than happy with it.

Yep and the reason PSE9 is fired up most of the time now before CS3 on my machine.;)

transfer not looking good so far, all my photo's were arranged into collections within PSE4 and hoped that these would transfer over as albums but not at all. I'll keep trying to see if I can sort something out.

I know nothing about PSE but in Photoshop CS4/5 Collections are just text files that are read by Bridge and are held in:-
Users/[Username]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Bridge CS4/Collections
Users/[Username]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Bridge CS5/Collections
It might be the same for PSE?
