Got a mail shot from Amazon to say that the new PS Elements 12 is now out. To be honest I am not sure it has been worth the wait. Currently have PSE9. And was wanting 64bit so that I could use all the memory, and the ability to work on 14 bit RAW files.

Seems from what few reviews are out there that it does not have 64bit, and not been able to find out so far if it will work on 14bit RAW.

Guess I will have to wait for PSE 13 or 14.

Does LR 5 do panoramas (would be upgrading from LR3.6)? As that is what I mainly do in PSE.

I'm sticking with version 9, can't see any thing in 12 to make me part with any money

No Lightroom 5 does not do panoramas. You need to export the images to Photoshop/ Elements for that

Agree with you Steve, for what I am seeing there is no point in upgrading. Wonder in fact how long we will see PSE around given LR and the creative cloud.

John any recommendations on other software for pano work?

Hi, Reading around the net it seems that PSE 12 is a large disappointment to the majority and many that have LR 5 say they are doing most photographic with LR 5.
Many wondering why no 64 bit PSE 12?
Seems Adobe engineers have kind of run out of ideas for PSE to be able to keep it at a price for the consumer market.

Hugin for panoramas, brilliant and best of all, it's free!
