Protection from the rain

I'm going to Oulton Park on Monday and it could rain. How can I protect my stuff from the water?

There are many things on the market to but to keep the rain of your gear, an easier/cheaper way is a polythene bag with elastic band around your lens, or the good old cling film option that never fails.

I've just seen a selection of rain hats and ponchos in Asda, about a £1 each and easily stored in small spaces. Might be worth investigating....?

These Kata rain covers are quite expensive, but they do work well, I have the E-702 which will house my D700 and 70-200 f2.8 Lens.

Get yourself a brolly and tonnes of gaffer tape and tape that brolly down on a tripod, and also slice up a carrier bag and pin it down with a lens hood. I have worked in insane rain conditions ad neither has let me down... The only issue I have found is keeping myself dry, and to be honest, I just get wet and deal with it later
