RSPCA first instance and the police. Am sure it's illegal to pop out in public with an airgun. Just make sure your safe first of all, if someone is stupid enough to be firing an air rifle in a public place who knows what they would do if they saw someone calling the police...
Depends on the birds. It is legal to shoot many birds in Britain with land owners permission,

yes they are! report them!

RSPCA would be out in ashothurry...
Its disgusting, why shoot peregrins?!! A*******
Because some people are scum and need to be taught a serious lesson in what pain and suffering really is!Try RSPB for advice. Police Wildlife Liason should help but aren't always as useful as we'd hope. Peregrine is protected.
google said:The Police and the RSPB are warning that shooting a peregrine falcon is a crime as the bird is fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act.
Penalties upon conviction include fines of up to £5,000 or up to 6 months in prison or both. Court can also order the confiscation of any vehicle, weapon or other thing used to commit the offence.
As I have said on many occasions, the RSPCA / RSPB
are only interested if its likely to be a high profile case / prosecution.
The wildlife liaison officer SHOULD take more interest. Some are "better"
than others as in all cases of "police work"
You may or may not get more sense out of DEFRA
Or Natural England
Thanks ChrisJust had a look at the links, I will contact them to see what they have to say about this  but it all looks very beaurocratic! what is needed is a quick response by the police ... Perhaps I'll dial 999 and say someone is taking photos of kids .... Should get them there quick enough
..... Seriously though, I reckon the only way to deal with this is as I said earlier :shake:
Is a wildlife liaison officer the same as a Force Wildlife Crime Officer?
Thanks again
Steve
Just phone the police and tell them you feel threatened by a man with a gun, they'll turn up!

I do need to contact DEFRA during the course of my work, Steve, They actually do answer
very quickly and do seem to know "whats what" .
And yep thats the "same person"
Where are you Steve? or where exactly was this, ? (PM if you like) I know "someone" that knows one or two WLO's
Then follow that with, Oh forget it ,I have just shot the [PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER].....
They will be there even quicker![]()
.... May actually come true ....
