HOLY ****IN MOLEY..has anyone ever had this???

The reason I ask is because I have just suffered it made me go even greyer overnight, here is the low down.

your stream of wee slows down and you get pains between your bottom and your bag or the "wind and the rain" as the doctor calls it, you get stomache pains and you feel like you want to go for a wee even when you have just had one and you wake up in the night 2 or 3 times for a wee...............well I got all of these symptoms in the space of 4 days and went to the doctors convinced that I had prostate cancer, I say this because I have a workmate who has prostate cancer and he got all of the above.

So when the doctor prescribed antibiotics I was sceptical and 10 days on I am back to normal and breathing a massive sigh of relief...I had myself dead and buried....the GP reckons that because I had a kidney removed 12 weeks ago, the catheter that was used in hospital had given me a bacterial infection of the prostate.

Turns out that prostatis is the most common water works related complaint in men under the age of 45 who visit the doctors.......It scared the **** out of me at 44 years of age.

Finally, I cannot understand that if Prostatitis is so common in men under 45, then why am I the only person I know who has had this? and believe me I have asked around.

So google it and dont despair if you get all of the symptoms associated with prostate cancer because it could be just be a simple infection.

IT TOOK THE SHINE OFFA GETTING MY D300..but it is all good now:thumbs:

Roll on christmas!!!:woot:

yes i have had it, when i was 25 and i made my7 ex go to the STD clinic and i found out i had a very bad water infection :( and she was innocent... back then

Hooray someone else!!! ..It seems that no one knows about prostatitis, either that or no one likes to talk about it but for something so common, it seems so rare!

I didnt even know we had a prostate until a work colleague who is 68 was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

when I said hooray Ashers I really meant thanks for replying :O))

yes its the male version of cystitus..... it was terrible i wouldnt go to the docs for ages in case id caught the clap off my ex :S

Me too, I have been through all the worry and I too had myself mentally booked in for the worst, it's a wonderful relief to be told otherwise.

Can't say I've ever had it :p but I do have endometriosis... I feel your pain!

Never mind wait a few years until your prostrate enlarges a little due to your age and your up 2-3-4 times for a pee, then the quack tells you all is ok below...learn to live with it. Was gonna end with a sweary word but I don't want barred. I'd give my right arm to get a good uninterrupted 8 hour sleep without having to get up for piddle.

i do that anyway now and im 27 lol but then again i drink heavily lol

I can only sympathise with you Frank, for the week or so that I was up in the night for a pee, I was walking around like a zombie all of the next day because I couldnt get back off to sleep....so us men have all this to look forward to :(.

I have been on antibiotics for 2 weeks and still have 2 weeks left of the course because apparently the prostate is a sod to get blood into so it takes a long time to heal the infection and thus needs mega antibiotics...but the doctor said take the tablet and have sex within 2 hours if possible....I had sex with Cheryl cole today.....But dont tell her:lol:

Mine came on slowly over months, the slow trickle I mean.
Went to the docs and he said it might be a tumour ,,a blood test would tell what sort.
After six weeks f##king about ,the clinic nurse of sick and stuff, got the results through and it was a tumour  but benign,so treatable by tablets.

A guy on another site didn't have my luck though ,and prognosis is terminal cancer..............................TIP  if you have any trouble ,especially
after 55 GET IT CHECKED OUT!!! it might just save you're life
