Pro's & Con's

Just wondered what the pro's & con's would be for using manual lenses on my sony alpha as i've currently got afew old manuals (Carl Zeiss etc...) and i've been offered a couple more.

The main pro HAS to be how cheap they can now be picked up for, but what are the disadvantages of using them??

manual focussing through a crop viewfinder can be a pain sometimes.

Is it worth buying the adapter to use them then?
