Thats right, clients don't care what you used to take a great photo they only care about having a great photo. A few months ago I had some work featured in a magazine, 2 HDR shots of Toronto taken on my Canon 10D in May 2006. The clothing company Bench saw these images and got in touch about licensing them for use in their Autumn / Winter ad campaign. Obviously I said yes. The basic deal was web use, magazine use and use in 600 stores around Europe. They have stores in the US but I guess they have a different market there. They never once said "OMG HDR!" or even asked what I had done, they simply loved the images.
So to everyone who turns their nose up at "HDR"
It was a very satisfying cheque to bank
To all those who love HDR and work with it, keep at it. Never let anyone tell you HDR is a fad. Obviously don't go OTT because I will personally tell you off
But please do continue producing HDR photos and expanding your knowledge of the subject. This proves that the guy writing the cheque really doesn't care if its LDR HDR MDR MFI or a bit of lettuce. If they like it, people will pay. This applies to everyones photography, not just HDR. People will and do pay for good photos.
Oh and one last thing
