Had a comment left on one of my pictures on Flickr from a webpage/Facebook page called Racerlink.

They want to use one of my pictures on their Facebook page that has 1.8m people liking it. I will probably gain nothing from it other than satisfaction and a credit to my Flickr page.

To some of you this means nothing but to me this is awesome!

They are now asking to use a couple more, should I be charging? Tempted to be cheeky and ask for some race tickets haha!

If they are making money from your pictures then you may want to consider it, only you can decide at the end of the day. You may also need to consider the terms and conditions under which you attended the race, these may well prohibit commercial use of photos taken by spectators.
 
Agree with others...they should be offering an invite to their next race day...well done :thumbs:
 
What they said above. Well done. I still remember my first usage - and the internet hadn't been invented and we still used Ilford film!

Well done, in this digital age of literally hundreds of millions of images swamping the market, you have to stand out from the crowd to be used now. I know little of the workings of Facebook and flickr but I understand it is a big audience. I would ask them for the opportunity to get better positioning - it is only a matter of them signing a form.

I think it was luck more than anything, looking at some of the pictures on the groups i added this image to there is so many better ones on there. It's definately spurred me on anyway, gave me a good boost!

Do you know the name of the person you are dealing with, the guy that replied to my message is called Mike. Just curious to know.

Did you just contact him saying you have some photos for him to use?
 
Well done. Great shot Michael. I'd definitely be asking for passes too, nothing to lose and they will be happy to get some more photos from you at the next race day.
