Project 52....by Kennysarmy + week 27 Highlight

Clever, clever :D!! And well done - how many takes to get it looking that good may I ask :)

How did you time/shoot this to include the writing AND your good self? (I assume thats you :))

Took about 12 attempts to get this right....

Method:
1. Ask to borrow the drama dept. at work
2. Tripod, manual focus, 25-30 second exposure in pitch black
3. Engage brain and write backwards using LED torch.
4. 2nd curtain flash (400d in-built) on lowest power setting to capture me

Taa-daa....

Thanks for that :) That's dedication :D Nice one!

Ahh a simple idea, however not a simple execution. Well done

I think this is brilliant, but for the life of me I can't think why you wrote backwards.

:amstupid:

That's just to save someone else from telling me.

Well done, that's brilliant and superbly executed too

that's fabulous. Love it.

What a great take on Opposites, I can only aspire to that level of dedication and skill (and space to do it in :D) It really works for me :clap:

I like that, the mono and grain has worked really well. They look like they get on well together. Very good and great interpretation

Really good composition and I like the B&W conversion and the grain really adds to its impact. Well done

I, too, like the graininess (is that even a word - doesn't look right ) of this photo.:thumbs:

I missed your special! Sorry!

And its nice - I like the B&W and the textured graininess! Nice to to see bro and sis getting on well too :)

The crowds one I like too! Nice sense of movement and nice B&W

I think a bigger 'crowd' moving around might have had more visual impact but you can only take whats presented :)

Two good 'uns! :)

double edged sword really coz the dismal dark grey drizzly day helped get the shutter speed down....yet that meant not many people were wandering around when I had chance to get up high to take the photo...

This is a nice shot. I like the way that my eye is drawn to the one still figure in the middle of all that movement. I don't know whether or not that was intentional but I like it.

I have no idea how you would go about getting a shot like that, but am looking forward to learning.

Well done. :clap::clap:

basically camera on tripod...and aim for around a 1 second exposure.
I basically adjusted f/ and ISO until I achieved that and then waited for some passers by and for the boy in the middle of the shot to look like he was going to stand still for a moment....I took about 12 shots of this scene and this was by far the most interesting...also looked much better in mono...

Sorry buddy I seem to have missed your 52s so far...

So have been catching up...congratulation you have done some superb stuff so far...

The crowds shot is a cracking shot...brilliant...

6 is sweet. Like it very much. I love the sense of movement in 7. And well done on 5. I tried doing torch writing a few weeks back and could not get anything even close to a word.

I'm enjoying your 52 :) - love the opposites - its just fun. And the crowds is excellent - my eye is really drawn to the static person, which is what you wanted I guess. Great view from the rooftops too makes this all the more interesting...

Superb crowds shot. Whilst it wasn't very busy, that may not have been better in this case, and you may have had too much blur around. I think this is just right.

I like the image a lot, its a very good idea. Blurring the others further might have worked even better but I suppose a lot of luck would be needed ,guy in the middle would have to remain still and I suppose you would have needed an Ngrad to slow the shot down further, just a thought.

I would have been much happier about my weekend if I had caught something like this, well done.

I really like the Crowds shot.

I think the effect is of both movement and stillness, a calmness rather than a sense of bustle

I love the bird's eye view and the monoconversion really works.

Well done yet again.

:clap:That's nice, the motion blur emphasises the business of the crowd.

I'm not great fan of angle shots, but this one works for me. I know it's going to sound a bit odd but I get a feeling of a strip on film some how.

I looked at a Jaguar dealership for the same sort of shot, but unlike you I couldn't see how to get it looking this good... another excellent shot to add to the others of your 52s...

nicely captured and well found location. I like the b&w, but then I would say that wouldn't I...

Aaah, a girl can dream! One day :D

I like this shot for many reasons: The clarity of the shot, the black and white (make it feel more unabtainable IYSWIM), The lighting and the angles.

well done :clap::clap::clap::clap:

Excellent. The details, lighting (well done on not getting reflections, or processing them out in the windows), the angle, the B&W, it all adds up to creating a superb image. I agree with Marcus, it does look like a film strip
