Project 100 - Red (eekkk long time since last post :).

I'm really glad you went back to #10 and I'm glad you like the result!

#11 really nice - again I actually like the desaturated feel.

andy..glad to see you're keeping it up with the red challenge. some good shots here. like the mono flooring taken with your new lens... gave me a sense of perspective that i liked..

Great little project, the photo's just keep getting better although the crop of number 10 is fantastic.

Cheers, thanks to Paul for the suggestion.

Day 11 is great Andy. I like the composition and just the 1 red berrh stands out. Great background and lighting.

Cheers, although Flickr really sucks out the colour.

Not for me I'm afraid mate - dirty car, not a great perspective. It doesn't do anything for me :(

Certainly fit's the theme though. But with the quality of your other shots, I wouldn't include this one.

Just my £0.02.

If that's dirty better hide mine....

£0.02 is £0.02....I've never done a car photograph before...might do some reading on composition.

Cheers.

Andy - I don't think they are your best images so far, but I think #1 has the most promise - I like the perspective and a slight distortion feeling because of the headlight. However the headlight probably needs to be more central, so perhaps try a tighter crop on the right hand side (try bringing it in to remove the red MG (?) driving off down the road)?

Cheers, Paul. I'll have a go at the suggested crop.

One from a recent holiday in Spain. I was just a tad too slow and really missed 'the' photograph.

Her hair was brilliant red and I couldn't believe it when she walked into view....and my wife gave me a knowing shake of her head...:D

Andy. I've done a car photo for my oktoberfest challenge. Always wanted to take one from that angle but never found the opportunity. Either you take them full on wide angle or polarized and at a corner thinking of vanishing points?? Me ,I find that iconic piece about them and make that the focus. I felt it works....

Cheers, Kev. In fairness, it was a grab shot...but I quite like it.

Your Okctoberfest is coming alone really well...just seen your latest on Flickr....:thumbs:

More from Spain...the sun was glorious and this boat really caught my eye.

More practice with the 11-16mm.

The boat wasn't straight and I really struggled with the composition...it was either have the beach/path straight or the boat, so I went for the one that was straight, the path.

#1 is a very close one with the sides deliverabley cropped to emphasise the perspective.

#2 was a bit wider.

 Thought I posted this one yesterday...

Anyway, while walking around Gorsdale Scar I noticed in the distance a rock climber and he was way up the top with no apparent safety harness on.

#1 is you look on the upper left 1/3rd you can just about make him out. Taken 55mm.

#2, is at 200mm and he is more visible.

Quite strange how I'm becoming attuned to seeing red....

Hiya Andy,

Just popping past quickly to see how you are progressing with this project and see you have some interesting shots.

I like #18, great spot there.

With #15 you mention about the sports car being in the top left ..... should it not be top right? :D

Keep up the great work.

Cheers

Dawn :)

Numbers 20 and 21.

# 20, just a watering can in our back garden. Just a nice minimal take,

#21, one of my favourite of this project. Isabelle's dragon on a tree stump..taken while we were out in Roundhay Park.

I still don't feel I've quite found my mojo for this project yet, for some reason. I think the scope of the red theme was too wide...

I liked the humour of my Costa Project and this one lacks that aspect and I have to say, I miss that..:shake:

I'll give it until post 30, then reassess and if not change in my mojo, I might switch to one of the dozen or so I have on 'back order'...

I've decided to terminate this project early.

I never really found my mojo. Perhaps the theme was too broad.

I'm going to start another one, though.....:bonk:

Thanks to all that have contributed comments...

Andy... and i'm being serious here. i found red was fairly straightforward when it came to picking colours out... you should try blue?? :bonk: ... i'm pushing ahead but its like swimming though mud with a concrete overcoat.

seen your new idea for a project, good luck .... lets hope i can suggest something for you. :naughty:

Hi, all, it's been a while since I've posted any photographs for this project but I was feeling a bit meh about my photography. I decided to do something about it so I had a wonder around Leeds yesterday. I was on the lookout for Red subject matter and I was amazed how many red thinks I saw.

There's quite a few photographs...feel free to comment on one or more.

Cheers.
