program won't install?

any help would be great, had a program called ( incredimail ) installed for many years then had a few problems with it, so uninstalled the program , then tried to install it again, but it won't install, only goes as far as run the program, then it disappears? could there be something blocking it ?
had this problem with a few programs now, same problem... windows cannot access the specified device path or file you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item????..
they all used to work ok, tried as administrator, same result....mark.

i would suggest temporarily disabling any anti-virus. also have task manager open on the process tab with all user tasks showing, then run the installer. does it appear on the list of processes? does it disappear there too or does it get stuck?

I have to agree about it really being a piece of junk however if you are confident enough:

Back up your registry
Then search for "incredimail" and delete all occurrences.
Then reboot and try to install again.
