I was just wondering what everyone uses to process their pics?

I was looking at Photoshop CS3 but I'm not sure if it's what I'm needing. There's also Lightroom etc.

Can anyone recommend any programs?

Thanks.

Depends how much you want to do to them.

To start, why not consider the gimp www.gimp.org or picassa http://picasa.google.com

both free, and both do different things. :)

Then you can also download free 30 day trials of lightroom and photoshop from www.adobe.com so you can see what works for you :)

I guess it all comes down to how much you are prepared to spend
I use CS3 ( extortionately priced )
I have used Paintshop Pro photo XI resonabley priced and does most things
There are a few Adobe products out there far more reasonabley priced ( Elements)
There are a few free ones about such as picasa ( a quick google will sort that one for you)
or of course just use the editing software
that came with the camera

PhotoShop Elements will do virtually everything that you're likely to want to do with PhotoShop CS3, at a fraction of the price.

I recommend Lightroom which integrates somewhat with PS, though it can slow right down on a multi-use PC it has really improved my workflow. For the basic things like white balance, cropping, spot removal and levels it's pretty handy. It's by no means a one stop shop, but combined with PS, I find it to be a very quick way to do basic edits to and organize your photos.
