I really like processing my RAW images using the RAW controls available in Adobe Bridge CS3 and I always shoot in RAW in order to use the controls (color temperature, fill light and many others) because these controls are so versatile and easy (IMO) to work with..
Once in a while however, I need to post process a JPEG image. It might be from a friend who is asking me to help out with the image or it might be an older image that I captured in JPEG before I began to shoot in RAW.
I just learned from Scott Kelby's great book, The Adobe Photoshop CS3 Book for Digital Photographers, that I can process a JPEG image using the RAW controls available with Adobe Bridge CS3. This might be elementary to many Photoshop Gurus but, I was surprised to learn it.
Simply click on a JPEG image in Bridge CS3 and then select Ctrl-R (Cmd-R in Apple). Your JPEG image will open with the RAW controls accessible.
Happy New Year!
