For £315 with the 3 percent that's between 150-200 pound cheaper and almost the same price as thy go for second hand on here ... Yes it's a gray import but so what its uk distribution so will have it in a day or two saving quite a bit of money Then just wait till nice bit of weather and some nice landscapes to take
 
Are they reputable?

Edit: Just found a couple of threads and they seem ok but I'm not too sure myself.

3% saving by direct bank transfer = no protection if item doesn't turn up (please correct me if I'm wrong).

Unless you like gambling always pay by credit card so that you've got some protection.

Nothing wrong with them in my experience, I used them for a £1k lens a few months ago. Goods are grey. Id still pay via CC anyway no matter where I buy from.
 
Check package for damage, they dont package to well, have heard same from others also.

just going out now for little test drive with it on a Gray and gloomy day so i don't expect any fantastic just yet
 
Mine never even came in a box, it was literally manufacturer box wrapped in 1 layer of bubblewrap and stuck in a jiffy bag (bearing in mind its £1k lens!). Good to see theyve improved!
 
Glad it's arrived ok Ian. Give it a whirl, maybe we can arrange a day out in Snowdonia or the lakes sometime when the weather picks up and we get something a little more exciting than a blanket of grey :).

We'll work the ten stopper a bit as well :)

Thanks for the deal, I generally just use Camerapricebuster, but they dont seem to list this retailer. It's about £50-70 cheaper than the next cheapest!
 
The only thing I would say about the packaging though is that although it is wrapped in bubble wrap, there is lots of space for it to move around inside the box. If the courier drops it, there is still a good chance of breaking the contents. If some packing peanuts or even screwed up newspaper was used to stop the item moving around, the chances of breakage are greatly reduced.
 
Totally agree with you Rick it did come also in it's carry case inside an official sigma box as well

I am also thinking of ordering an L lens from procamerashop. But first, a dumb question:
are grey imports lower quality products or the same original products but imported in a questionable way so guarantee is the risk? Thanks for help.
 
There the same as all the rest just sent mostly from Asia avoiding tax on them some are sent here first then posted to your address saving time on dispatch I saved a good few bob and am very happy with there service
