Hi,

I'm about to buy a Nikon 55-300 lens and procamerashop has comfortably the cheapest price I have found. I have never bought anything from this site, does anyone here know how reliable they are? Anything I should look out for?

i never bought from them before but the company look alright. Should be fine without any problem.
 
Ive bought from them before, no problem at all. Item arrived next day. They are grey imports though but still have a 1 yr warranty. BTW it wasnt a cheap item Sony SAL70-400G (£1k). Give em a ring, most other cheap grey dealers dont even answer the phone!
 
I'm considering the 70-300mm Nikon lens, if it's next day delivery then they must have a UK distribution centre, good prices as well.
 
excuse my ignorance but how is a grey import different?
i take it the actual lens is identicle? just the packaging different?

Grey Import just means it's not an official Nikon UK imported body/lens. With lenses it makes no difference as they have an Intl Warranty, the key thing is that you buy from a recognised retailer and not from someone on eBay selling kit to earn some extra cash.
