I've not had any dealings with them before but they do get some good write ups. I usually deal with www.panamoz.com for my gear. I ordered a 70-200 2.8 IS L MkII on monday afternoon and it was delivered on thursday morning just after 9.30.
They have the 70-300 in as well here http://panamoz.com/index.php/lens/canon/canon-ef-70-300mm-f-4-5-6l-is-usm-lens.html and if you contact them first and pay by bank transfer you get a 5% discount, meaning it'll cost you £805.60 instead. Totally trustworthy vendors, I will definitely be checking them next time I'm after something.

Not when I bought my camera earlier this year and lenses last year. Comparative prices vary from time-to-time.

I'm sure it is. The point I was making was that prices and differentials between retailers vary so no-one should check just one.
