Help!

I am trying to installs a Lucis set plug in, and everytime I do, it doesn't appear on my Photoshop.

I go to the plug in folders, and there is nothing in there...

Any ideas?

I am using cs6, and aware of problems with it, and that to installs, I have to choose other, and select the plug in folder :\

Tried with cs4, and same issue.

Try putting it in your local user application plugin folder, depending on OS.
C\documents and settings\user\application data\adobe etc etc.

On a mac Lucis needs to be run in 32 bit mode on CS5

Right click get info > open in 32 bit mode

Not sure about CS4 or PC version tho?

Are you using the Manager - if so you might need to install as Administrator. If using windows click on the Windows Start icon to show programmes and then go to Adobe File Manager, hover over it and click (it is the lower button on my pen but no idea whether left or right) and various options come up - click as Run as Administrator.

No idea if this will help as I don't know anything about Lucis but I have found I need to do it for a lot of Adobe things

Try going to the lucis folder in my programs and see if theres an 88bi file in there, it needs to be in plug-ins.

Before starting, you need to navigate into Adobe CS6 plug-ins folder, and create a folder there called filters.
Then manually set the install location to that folder.
Not needed with earlier versions.

You need to restart photoshop too, or even reboot before it appears in the filters list.

are you running x64 or x32 maybe its putting it in the wrong folder

I running x64. I have definitely done in the right folder, and tried cs4 aswell... still says the filters folder is empty. I have rebooted laptop, and stilll empty :(

As said above If the Filters folder is missing create a new folder under the Plug-ins folder
and name it Filters (capital F and plural). Then install hopefully that might work for you..

are you adding filters to the plug in folders before you install Lucis...if not maybe try uninstalling then add filters then re install

you should be installing it to C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-Ins not C:/Program Files (x86)/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6/Plug-ins

downloading the demo worked, but now i cant work out when to put the serial in. it didnt ask for it on install?

It asks for the serial when you try to save the image after you first edit, can we just clarify are you using 32 or 64 bit?

64 bit... i have trieed to edit a photo in demo, and when i click 'ok', it doesnt let me, says i cant do it in demo mode. i click on help ->about plug ins, and brings a box up, but doesnt ask for serial to be entered at all, just shows loads of 0's
