Yes
I ordered 2 batteries from 7 day shop for my 1Ds a few weeks ago and, as I mentioned at the time they did not work due to the connections being too short.
I emailed them, received no reply but sent them back with a covering letter
asking to have them replaced.
To date, despite 3 faxes, I have not received any reply, replacements, or indeed any communication and their phone line is not being answered.
My next tack will be to recover my money via my credit card, but I wondered if anyone else has had any problems and had to return product.

Up until now, all the reports I've seen of 7 day has been good.
Any help appreciated.
George :(

I've heard that they are not the most responsive but nothing as bad as this.

Did you send them back 'signed for' ?

I returned a printer cartridge last year. I phoned them initially and then returned the cart. Replacement took a couple of weeks but it was all fine...

Steep, no for once I didn't get a receipt, normally do but not this time.pxl8, I'm having trouble getting through, the 2 nos just ring out. Do you still have the one you used?

That's pretty poor. I think I'd go the chargeback route if you're that worried, although a warning mail/fax/phonecall if you can would be good - it tends to get companies moving...

Cheers,
James

...although having read you didn't get a receipt for sending them back, I'm not sure how you'll get on. They will ask for proof you sent them, and a returns number which they haven't generated. I'd persevere with trying to contact them.

Cheers,
James

In their terms and conditions, they say something like allow 21 days for delivery. Check this first. I waited about three weeks for my Nikon batteries - in fact, I'd given up hope but one day they appeared.

OK thanks, yes not getting a receipt was perhps silly, but thought what the hell its only £25, not the end of the world, but thought I'd start the thread as if its a big problem, we should be aware of it on this forum for the benefit of others who might stand to lose a lot more! and I'm surprised they don't answer their phones,,,

I have had excellent service from them. I'm very surprised they've not been responsive. The problem with online shops is too often that everything is automated with no one picking up the ocassional problem.

Can honestly say I've always had great service from 7day shop batteries and memory cards always been with me inside of a week, guess I must have been lucky !

I just checked and I guess it wasn't by phone as I've still got emails linking to the support case I raised for the return. I got an answer the same day requesting I return the item and a couple of weeks later a replacement arrived.

Think I'll try the email route today, as a last resort. I did that first, however, and got no response.

Now sent that and have copy of it and the one sent on the 11th of June. Watch this space for the next exciting episode!!

PS I now see I'm getting comfy!!

Well, the next episode came quicker than I expected!!They have refunded me my money, apologised in response to my email of this morning, they say it was done 1 week ago when they received the goods. They also say they emailed me this info 1 week ago, but I certainly never got it, and it still doesn't explain why they don't answer their phone or faxes, but does at least show they are reliable in other ways.

So now i still need 2 batteries for my 1Ds!!

Will have a look at my previous post to see who other than 7ds was recommended
George
