I've recently purchased a trail camera for finding wildlife. The only problem is I can't view the videos on my mac. What's the best way to view AVI videos on a mac? Is a good app or download?

I used to use perian and flip4mac as codecs such it integrates nicely in the normal OS X applications.

Thanks for all the ideas, I will have a look into them all. I can currently view video on my windows laptop but being able to store and view on my mac (main photography computer) would makes things much easier.

DiVX player will run avi files although VLC would be my first choice

AVI is a wrapper format. It depends what codec is used for the audio and video whether or not it will decode. VLC manages just about every open standard, but there are a few proprietary ones it messes up.
