Yes
I bought a camera from them on wednesday night and I was assured by the person on the phone that it would be with me today

I've been waiting all day and parcelforce have made no show (I think it would be them anyways according to the guy on the phone). They haven't provided me with a tracking number and they are now shut till 30th. I have no one to chase this up with.

Surely this can't be happening to me?? They've taken my money as well.

Words cannot express how annoyed I am right now.

Sounds like you should be unhappy with Parcelforce, they have dissapointed me many times.

That's really unusual Sid. I've delt with Matt a couple of times and bought my 1Ds from him. Always found him to be top notch.

Hope you get it sorted.

parcel force do run till late in the evening, i have had parcels delivered at 7.00, fingers crossed for you.

Suspect it's not MBP - there is a postal strike today, no sign of anything from Royal Mail in this corner of London.

Pretty poor tbh. Your problems probably stem from this. But rest assured, this isn't something personal. It's often the way.
RM - pants at best afaic.

Fair point, they could well have sent it out on time but it's been delayed. I wouldn't leave the house just yet and there is still delivery time tomorrow if Parcelforce decide it's a day they might work.

Effectively you bought a camera yesterday and it was sent on an overnight service for delivery today.

I would call Parcelforce with your postcode and see if they have anything on the list.

Sounds more like a Parcelforce (or courier) problem.

The only thing maybe MBP could be accused of is not being able to issue a tracking number.

Working in the mail order business myself, its easier to get money before the goods leave rather than recovering it afterwards and 95% of the rest of the industry agrees.

This is just unbelivable for me.

I waited months for this and now this happens. I will hang around. My place is in london, not really hard to find. Have had hundreds of deliveries from different drivers already.

While it is undoubtedly frustrating I've delt with MPB before and for goods that were rather expensive too and I don't think for one minute that he would go off on holiday without sending your camera out, especially if payment has been made.

So while I feel for you I'd sit tight and see what the next 18 hours brings.

Ok called parcelforce and they cocked up. Luckily the woman was understanding and shes gonna see what she can do.

I guess MBP is off the hook but still would have liked the tracking number though. Also very unlikely that they were shutting down just today.

/edit - my apologies for getting angry but I hope people here understand what happens when toys arent delivered on time and the retailer cant be contacted.

Absolutely Sid, just glad you are sorted. Enjoy your new toy :)

Parcelfarce are a waste of space in my eyes, we sent some very expensive American golf clubs up to Scotland to a pro golfer last year using the 48hr option and they arrived 13 days late and just got dumped on a patio at the rear of his house (he was away for two days) yet according to Parcelfarce he signed for them.... so they flew the delivery driver to Prague for his signature and left them ......complete shambles

Meh. I find either UPS or Home Delivery Network are the best in my area.

Apparently they tried to deliver but no note or anything. Well thats typical...

Oldest trick in the book. Tried to deliver, no-one in or claim they couldn't find the address. Hopefully it should get taken back to the depot and you might be able to collect it. Take proof of ID and address.

I know exactly how it feels...

Well the driver could be relief staff and doesn't know his way round. Have had that before. He turned up at about 7.30pm

Longest day of my life, that was

They are known as Parcelfarce round here. They took 13 weeks to deliver something to us that should have arrived in 10 days.....

Allan

You should edit the post title to read Rant @ Parclefarce as it's not MBP's fault :)

To be fair they don't normally give out tracking numbers as they would deal with the issue themselves. Matt is a great guy and I've had no problems dealing with him. TBH I can see you'd be angry with ParcelFarce but MBP haven't done anything wrong.

Ok well I didn't know when i made the thread that someone at parcelforce would give me any info without the tracking number so yes perhaps it is moot now.

However, if they were going to be away, then they might as well have email me the code.

Sorry to hear of your problems. Parcelfarce are amazing. Lat year I ordered online a mother's day gift for my Mum. According to them, it was delivered and signed for at her home. At exactly the same time that she "signed" for it, she was 100 miles away, being interviewed by the police as a bystander/witness to a nasty car crash - which I would consider good proof that the parcelfarce chap didn't actually get her signature!

Nothing wrong with MBP, loads of happy customers on here alone.

Nothing wrong with the guy having a holiday either, I am sure that you have time off work.

The fault is with the courier, which it appears that you have resolved.

Well I thought I had... anyways. Lets not jump the gun on this.

I will call them up tomorrow morning and go collect.

Shall keep this thread updated.

Maybe you ought to amend the thread title then eh? or at least ask one of the TP team to amend it for you, as it doesn't reflect well on MBP does it, and you've admitted it's not their fault.

Well...

They sent the wrong cable for the charger so I had to use a kettle lead from my pc . also the battery provided doesnt seem to hold charge so i've ordered a new one. I will cahse that up with them when they re-open.

Not entire off the hook I'd say.

now now mid_gen be nice...

even though dhl are up there on the "pretty turd" list at least they aspire to be better than city link.

yes the c is pronounced sh

:P

We would just like to say publically that we are sorry for the problems that you have had with this order. There are no perfect couriers in this world unfortunately, but our experience has shown Parcelforce to be the best and that is why we use them over other choices. They are owned and operated by Royal Mail which does make it easier for our customers in the event of there being problems with delivery since every town has relatively easy access to a sorting office or post office.

Sending our courier information is something that we are working on and we hope to have systems in the future for doing this effectively with every order.

We do do our best and yes we are currently on holiday which we appreciate has not helped in this situation. We usually close for 1 week in a year because, as others have stated, we all do need a holiday once in a while.

This does mean we are currently not contactable but we will be back in the office on the 29th and we will answer any email queries then.

With best regards,
MPB
