The tripod I use has the usual clips which pull out to loosen and push in to lock.

One of them now no longer grips tightly enough and the leg slides in with weight on it.

Does anyone know if there is a way of tightening these up?

There should be a bolt on the side of each clip that you can tighten. What make is it?

Sorry if these are obvious questions but starting of with what tripod is it?

Does it have screw on the back of the quick release buckles? Tried tightening them?

It'd a Cullman 2503. I can't see any bolts that I could tighten I'm afraid.

Looking again, there appears to be some kind of 'V' clip at the back which could be squeezed in with pliers. Does that make sense?

I am unsure, take pics and post?
I tried to look up the tripod for info but couldn't find anything. I was hoping it would be a simple case of applying loctite to the threads but evidently not.

Are the fasteners really easy to lock into place?

Hi Scott
Sorry for late reply.
I will try and take some pics tomorrow. I have had the tripod quite a while but it has not had a lot of use so it is probably a defunct model.
The problem fastener is easy to lock into place but the rest are OK.

Sorry about taking a while, had to create Flickr account before I could post these.
Here is the offending clip/
