problem with 5d2

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Turned on my 5d2 the other day and was oof through the viewfinder.
Removed lens to find a loose piece of square clear frosted plastic the same size roughly as the mirror.
Im getting vignetting through the viewfinder now after taking this out but otherwise things seem ok.
Can anyonenshed any light on this?
Im trying to upload a pic but flickr is acting up.

Cant seem to be able to figure out how to get the focusing screen to stay in place. I cant seem to see any frame.
Can you shed any light Dogfish or anyone?

Ok I realise now what happened.
Somehow the screen came out while the frame stayed up under the hinge. managed to get it down and now it all makes sense.
