Hi
was out this morning taking piccies before dawn, the problem appears to be that when taking bulb exposures over 2 mins 10 secs the camera wont write to the card.
first shot was 25 minute, tried all the way down and fouynd out the time from this.
other problem appeared to be batteries that were full charge worn out quickly.
have got home and recharged all batteries and up grade the firm ware to latest version.
just done another test run and managed to get it up to 300 secs and it will write.
tries out at 500 secs with cap on and it has gone and done the same, which is shutter mirror closes red light comes on busy comes up on screen and nothing else.
i have just taken one and it is still red light and busy that is now 5 minutes since took the picture.
i thoought the problem this morning was extreme cold and cold batteries but not the same problem at home.
tried different cards re formatted and trid with no luck or change. so this morning was a waste of a trip.
had no problems up till last trip out when i thought it was a one off.
when i connected to computer to sort out firmware etc, the computer came up with a screen that said camera and computer dates and times didnt match.
canera just written to card after 9 minutes seem long time card is cf ultra 11 1 mb sandisc
is there and internal battery iin the 30d?
any help or
any ideas?
