Probably not the best place to park

Yes
I spotted this fine bit of parking while leaving the Brands BTCC car park, it's on a very tight corner heading for the car park exit

I don't know if it had been left in that condition or if it was going to be a bit of a shock when they come back...

I'm sure I saw it competing in the afternoon race.

Oops

Not nice, but hopefully a wise lesson to never park there again :)

People who park like dicks deserve everything they get.

Saying that, difficult to say if that happened in this instance, may have had a prand and had to leave the car there till recovered.

I bet they wished they had paid an extra £5 and parked on the Southbank. Brands Hatch isn't exactly short of parking anyway so there was no real reason to park there.

I'm trying to work out exactly what has happened here

I'm confused too.
Given the great big "No Entry" signs, if it was hit it must have been somebody coming out of the carpark around that tight corner.
But in that case, I'd have expected a chunk to be missing from the rear corner not the front

Unless it was originally parked parallel in front of the van and somebody swiped it then bumped it to where it is now to avoid anyone else hitting it.

No clio finshes a race with that little damage!
They do have less contact now compared to recent years, although this weekend was the first round of the season so early days yet. I did however notice a car on the grid yesterday afternoon with new unpainted/liveried bonnet, bumper and door.

Unless the car park has changed since I last parked in that car park, the entrance is to the left, I believe there is an exit in the opposite direction to the signs, I assume the car that hit it came from behind, probably recirculating the car park looking for a space

It's a french car so it's not important,fair enough.
Actually a very good observation. Also standard way of parking for French cars, little nudge at the front and a lift nudge at the back, job done.
