just wondering what the wet printers do with 6x6 ..have looked at cutting down 12 inch by 76 meter rolls but at £220 its a bit pricey ,,then found some ready cut to 10 in x 10 in ,,,100 sheets for £62 ,, ah thats better ,,,then found out it a minimum order of five boxes ,,,so do you just crop off the edge of the frame ?or do you print to the paper size and lose the edge ? as in print 8in x8in on 10 x 8 ?

8x10, crop off the 2 inches for test strips.

thanks for the replies , i have only used 35mm before and when i got the negs in my sweaty little hands compared to 35 its like wow ,you can just feel that they are going to print to a good size . ,,, i will see how 8 x 8 's go for a while and get some test strips along the way ,,, thanks again

.............one of the reasons I got rid of my 6X6 cameras for 6X4.5 and 6X7, as I was once home printing in B/W then colour and either cropped the neg or the paper (either way was a waste) :shrug:

Despite shooting 6x6 I rarely print square. I always find there is something in the composition that can be improved upon by some judicious cropping.

Never thought about chopping off the bottom to make a square piece of paper I generally pint bang smack in the middle, whether wet printing or inkjet printing a scanned image.

to be honest i think i might go down that route Kev ,i'm sure i will be able to lose one of the edges ,what with my composition and framing
