Where does everyone get their printing done in the UK? Somewhere proffesional but not too expensive. Thanks!

The places that get regular mentions on the forum are Loxleys, DSCL, Snapping Sams & Colorworld. It depends on what kind of work you are doing , an the price you are prepared to pay.

If you use the 'search' function you may see some of the previous postings on this subject.

DSCL is by far the cheapest I've seen for normal prints

If you search the forum, you will see this topic covered, with a lot of happy customers.

Been using DSCL for a few months now. First class serivice and prints always spot on.

Ordered a quantity of prints from latest shoot last week. When they arrived the largest print ( 16x12 ) had a small crease in it.
Rang them and they told me to email details and a replacement was arranged to be sent next day at no extra cost.

Sometimes it's how a company respond when things go wrong that is the best way to judge them, and for me DSCL are top dogs in every department.

My college recommended Photobox & I ordered all of my prints for my university portfolio from there but had experience with a few photographs being printed 'off colour' at different sizes {for example, 7 x 5" was much more vivid than the same photograph printed at 12" x 8"} Ironically I found I actually preferred the 'off-colour' print & it made it into my final portfolio. I tried Jessops in-store printing & actually had an identical experience. ALWAYS 'test' print!

I've found Photobox's customer support to be much more helpful than Jessops if that'll effect your choice at all ~ & this is coming from a former Jessops employee. I do love Jessops Lustre finish paper tho.

Both are reasonably priced & I'll continue to use both printers for my work. Best wishes.

Note ➝ I have edited this post as I did not explain myself properly beforehand & have had new experiences since my previous post!
