Just a quick one, looking for some opinions.

I'm looking to get some pictures printed onto A4 paper to form part of a collection of prints. I don't want to fill the page with the image and therefore I will have some "space" around the pictures. The question is should I leave this space white or does it look better in black? I'm warming towards black as it seems to make the pictures stand out better but just wanted to know what other people do. I shall get them printed by a lab so no need to worry about racking up huge black ink bills as it will all be photographic paper.

Any opinions welcome.

I think it depends on the colours in the pictures, i agree with what you say about black making them stand out but what happens if you have black sky in your pictures? Id just do a print preview with black and white and see which one you like best :)
