Printing 'postcard' style invitations ...

Hi everyone,

Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong bit, but didnt know where else to put it - feel free to relocate.

Anyway, just after some advice as to where I can get double sided postcards printed. I recently proposed (she said yes!) and so I am designing some some invited for the engagament party. Well, not really designing, just some text and a picture of us.

They would ideally be A5 sized, black and white, double sided and of fair -> goot quality. Is there anywhere online where I could get this done? Or is it just a ces of going into a high street print shop? I would need around 50.

One last question, woudl i be best doing it on word and adjusting the page setup size to A5 etc, or, would it be best using photoshop?

Any advice very much appreciated.

I'm pretty sure they'll accept files in PDF or Tiff. The last time I sent something to them I produced it in Microsoft Publisher and saved it as a PDF and all seemed well. Mind you, there are things you need to to with edge to edge bleeds and stuff like that, so it may not be completely straight forward.

Propably a good idea to look 'em up on the web and see what they need.

I wouldn't do it in MS Word. Layout and design is a pain.

If you have Photoshop (or better yet, InDesign) and know how to use it then go with that.

Colin (Hacker) may be someone who can help with this. His business cards are postcard sized and double sided.
