Yes
I want to print off a few of my shots but some of them aren't exact 3x2 ratios. What's the best way of going about printing them off?

Is sticking a black/white border on and cutting/covering it the best option?

Some labs do odd sized prints, check before you mess around trying to put on borders etc.

I'm looking at the likes of One Vision which although it has a good selection some of my images don't fit unfortunately.

What sizes are you after and what medium? The tricky bit is the frames to put it in.

I'm not too sure yet, i'm looking to see if I can get a few pictures stuck up in a local gallery or shop so want to print out a couple of images on paper to begin with, just to show them what they may look like and interest them. The problem I have is some of the images aren't exactly 3x2 ratio etc so I need to do something about it before I get them printed.

Anyone got images in a shop/gallery, if so how? I'm thinking about taking a couple of medium sized prints and a couple of other sheets with a few images on to show them when I approach them. Is that a good idea or is there a better way?

Thanks

I'm in the process of doing the same thing, I'm friendly with a local shop keeper and want to use his shop to offer my services and art. I'm planning on printing and wrapping a canvas and just taking it up there.

You can get various sized canvas stretchers off ebay for only a few pounds, I made my own here http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=57925 but I need practice :)

Not necessarily. Most of the "standard" print sizes aren't a 3x2 ratio either - square, 7x5, 10x8, 14x11, etc. You might be able to fit to one of those sizes more readily.
