Printing Help!

Hello,

I have been taking images and editing them in lightroom. I would like to print some of my pics but I am unsure how to do this. I uploaded a few to Costco but they seem to crop my pics so the whole image doesn't fit in. On some of the images it sas te print size doesn't match the photo size! What can I do to resolve this? Thank you

Welcome to TP.

In Lightroom when you crop your images you need to ensure the lock is shown as locked as this will crop in the same ratio. For example if you set it to 6 x 4 it will crop to this ratio to print on 6 x 4.

Other option would be to print via a company like DCLS photo labs.
 
Thank you very much. This may be a stupid question but how do I 'lock' the image?
 
Hi and welcome

I find half the enjoyment in photography is printing my own photos. Ok its cheaper to send them off to be done, but the satisfaction of printing your own and producing good results far outweighs anything else.

In the Develop module, select the image and pres the 'R' key on your keyboard to open the crop tool. (Pressing the 'O' key toggles the crop overlay and the 'X' key rotates between landscape and portrait.)

On the right hand panel you will see a padlock. If it's closed, you can only adjust the crop in the same aspect ratio as the original. Clicking on it will unlock it and allow you to freely change the aspect ratio by dragging the crop handles.

If you click where it says 'Original', it opens a dropdown which allows you to select from a set list of aspect ratios or you can enter a custom ratio.

Hi dear i just want to say you here that you should make a design or edit your photo which one is you want to print and then make a sketch of this photo from the Printer and easily check out this Photo for any mistake and then go for Printing this phptp from the good and reasonable price Pirnting Press...
