Yes
My recently deceased brother has a collection of printers he probably picked up from auctions/fairs or somewhere, gathering dust and cat hairs.

Are these worth trying to salvage, or should we just bin them? Each time I try a quick search for prices as new, I get cartidges and stuff, so cant be bothered looking.

Canon MP160
Lexmark P4330
Epson DX7400
HP Deskjet 843
HP Deskjet 990 cxi
HP Officejet 5110
HP Officejet V40 (x2)
Samsung MC1250

Cheers

See if you can donate them to a worthy cause?

I took two printers to the tip recently, just took up too much space and no one i knew wanted them, Oxfam...etc said no thanks and its easier for me to walk to the library 100yds down the road and get a print out on the rare occasion i need one than it is to maintain a printer

Bin them, basic a4 printers these days cost less than a full set of genuine replacement cartridges.
Its known as gillette marketing, the original item ( razor) is cheap, sundries ( blades) are extortionate, its very sad but that's the society we live in today.

Try freecycle first. You might find someone wants them for parts.

If not, there's always ebay.

Cheers
Just binned them. Haven't got the space for them myself to organise sale or donation.
