Hi Folks

I am now looking to purchase my first printer, just for photos, I have a budget of £250 -500 at a push, i have recently just bought cs3 and would like one that will let photoshop control the colours, does anyboddy have any good recomendations and if there are any bargains on

Cheers

Paul

How big do you want to print? you'll get a top notch a4 printer for less than £100. A3 goes higher

I can highly recommend the Epson R1800 (RRP £399 but you can get it for £300 from PC World), prints amazingly well up to A3+.

If you're wanting out of this world quality, reliability and printing bigger, you want to be looking at the K3 printers.

The Epson R2400 or the 3800 (prints to A2+!) are amazing.

My Epson 9800 44" printer uses K3 inks and the results are out of this world!

All depends on what you want to achieve from it :)

Thanks for your replies
been looking at epson site, may go for r2400

cheers

Check on the ink price about £70 a set for the R2400 for genuine Epson ink . The results are superb I agree. If anyone has found cheaper genuine epson inks I and I'm sure many others would like to know. Happy printing.

The beauty being though that you NEVER EVER have to replace a full set at once.

I get all of my supplies from a company called Fastek Group in Leeds. They're the cheapest by far for the BIG stuff (I save about £12 per cartridge - and have 8 of them @ 220ml each). Big saving really.

Let me know if you want a print sending across to have a look at - provide me with the image and i'll get it posted for you.
