Looking to get a new printer and just after some advice on which one to get..have been looking at the epson rx585 anyone used this?
 
i have this printer and its perfect for home use

here are some pictures of pictures printed with it, on Espon Premiumm Glossy paper. but i have recently started using Kirkland paper and the results are just the same

Well I used an R300 with a CIS for a few years and it was virtually free to use the ink was so cheap. I think the latest is a R360. The R300 was good so the R360 must be better and you can get a really good CISS for it for about £50 inc p&p. I pointed steveinspain at the company, I think he got the same CISS for a slightly newer printer than the R300.

I have split now into two printers a HP 6280 for general use as it lives on the network and works as a network scanner too, from any computer! The R2400 is jaw dropping but treble your budget unfortunately.
 
yeah its so easy to use. it comes with software aswell for each bit it used, own scanner stuff, own print software when you sleect sizzes and paper using and it does the rest

card slots are easy to use aswell (i only tested them not used them since as i dont use SD Cards now) but its plug and play basically, the priunter does the rest you just tell it what to do
 
Just been looking at the 360..looks pretty good!..Is the 585 quite an old model?
 
I recently but a stylus R285. (it is not an all in one) and am very very happy with it

I actually had some photos done at a lab, and compared themn with the same photo printed on my printer, and I can honsetly say if I didnt know which was which, I woudltn have known.
 
Well picked up the sx600 this afternoon..was tempted by the 585 but preferred the look and size of this one and it has wi fi..not had chance to set it up yet but will do later.

Are they reall worth the money? I have been kicking the idea around for awhile now as I need a new printer

tesco premium glossy sis pretty good, 50 (a4) sheets for £10

I have an R1800 at work, which we use for high end A4 and A3 poster printing. With the right ink (Jet Tec supply excellent - and FAR cheaper ink than Epson) and paper (premium glossy) the results are so, so professional. If you have the cash, I can recommend it 100% - super sharp.
 
I have the Epson R1900 (or 2400) on my list as a next to get after a computer and monitor. Been drooling over the R2880 but thats out of my budget.
 
Kirkland paper is made and sold by Costo. if you have a card get down there and get some

my other half was there at the weekend and brought me 150 sheets of A4 and 300 sheets of 6 x 4 for around £20

Nice one mate..got one in Watford near me...looks like a visit is in order!:thumbs:
 
i use a r360 i have also used and still got a r300 they are both fantasstic printers and i bought refillable cartridges from ebay and ink in bulk and like the other post says its virtually free to run it hope this helps mark

Thanks Mark...cheers Whitey..should be fun!..Couldn't find too much info on the one I got apart from specs etc but what I did find seemed favourable.:)
 
:DFinally set the printer up this afternoon and have to say very very impressed..its a doddle to set up and install software and the epson software itself is very user friendly..Have printed some images at A4 and they look great, colours are very good!.It is also very fast for copying and scanning etc.Overall I would highly recommend it especially as at the moment it has £50 off and going for just under £100:naughty:

:lol: Cheers Chris..reckon I will run out of ink by tomorrow night the way I am going..lol But be a shame not to give it a thorough testing...:naughty:
 
i just bought my step son a epson rx4450 its quite cheap but its epson and it is good
