We need a photo printer, the make isnt important but speed of printing an A4 photo is also the running cost as we have been asked to do the photos at this years Candlelighters charity day again and for the last two years the printer has let us down, we only do this one event per year as its charity so we dont charge so a dedicated event printer isnt needed and hopefully cost will be around £100

Get an epson you can get very good but very cheap compatable cartridges for them. I have an old R200 and five sets of ink only costs £16

Have you considered hiring a dye sub printer?

are you needing it on site? if so hire a dye sub printer if not then just get them printed by DSCL

You will find it hard to get a new dye sub forthe job you want for anything less than about £1400 plus vat - certainly if you want to print 12x8" max ( forget A4 as a a size - that is an inkjet size - not dye sub).

Yes you cold look second hand , but still £100 is nigh on impossible, and if it is , it is probably a piece of junk.

Just over £100 wil do you a hire, but you will need to put a sizeable deposit down too.

get one of the kodak £90 printerers from pc worl cartridge's are cheap quality will be good for the job

onlky problem i found with them is the cartridges dry up if you dont continuos use them

but at £12 colour inc some paper too

Hire a 12x8 Dye Sub.... 40-75 secs per print. No wet ink issues. Roll media, Automatically cut to size for Strutt mounts.

Job Done !
