Hi, i have a canon ip4850 printer and went to print off some mono photos tonight, but the black areas were coming through as blue. I switched to plain paper and put in plain paper settings and the blacks were fine. Went back to photo paper and appropriate settings and the blue returned. I've changed, aligned and cleaned cartridges but this has done absolutely nothing. Anyone have any ideas please?

I can't afford a new printer and it was working fine the last time i used it. I'm thinking that it may be the replacement inks

are you using oe or 3rd party ink?

I had this problem, carried out a "nozzle clean" and this did the trick.

Are you using genuine inks ?

Have you checked you've not altered something on the printer software - if you're printing in mono, you've not selected greyscale etc in software have you ???

Have you gone from Vista to 7 recently

I tried replacement inks from a reputable company. Its always worked with windows 7 and I've not touched the settings on the printer or software. I need some more inks so I'll give that a go
