Yes
My daughter is getting married in a few months and wants to have photos of all the guests printed out at the reception. The photos will either be taken on a camera with an SD card and/iPhones. We will have access to power but I do not want to take a laptop. There is no wifi so will need AirPrint or direct print from the SD card.

Suitable printers?

The Canon Selphy looks a possibility but it quite slow. Would an inject with wifi/AirPrint be better? We will only require small prints and they will not need to be top quality.

send the pics to loxleys and get it done properly especially as its your daughters wedding

I could be wrong but I was under the impression that for AirPrint you have to have the printer and the devices connected to the same WiFi network which is probably not an option in the hotel as they will likely only allow just guest internet access on there network.

Your best option to do what you want is to probably bring along a laptop. I might have got that wrong though so probably best to check it may be possible to send direct from the devices to the printer.

Think event photographers tend to use dye sub printers for things like this. They are quite pricy to buy though if you are only using it once. Think some places may rent them out, so it might be better to look round for that.

Just to be clear these are not the main photos from the wedding, just for a bit of fun at the reception. I'm not sure but I thought the Canon Selphy could connect to a phone without wifi. I'll check.

I doubt I will have time to take photos but if I do I will use Loxley. They are the best lab I have used.

for price and Q DSColour labs

Could you get a cheap WiFi router (something with DHCP) and turn off all the WEP/WPA authentication then configure whatever printer you choose to connect to it?
Guests could then connect their phones to your open WiFi LAN hotspot to access the printer.

You could just use a phone with a WIFI hotspot and connect the printer to the phone WIFI then you could use wotsapp to send the photos to the phone linked to the printer?

Take a look at the Polaroid Pogo printers, or any using ZINK photo paper.

Small prints, 3"x2", ready in 1 minute, with adhesive backings. Printer is battery powered and connects via Bluetooth or PictBridge.

Or Fuji have instant i.e. Polaroid style, cameras.

The ONLY printer worth using on site is a dyesub, and you are going to need some kind of computer with it, as well as someone to man it, do all the work, prints, crops etc.

Inkjets are super slow. Take ages to dry, poor quality prints...

You best option if you want this kind of service is to use a professional photographer, with a complete setup. This is service I do for weddings and can also do completely unlimited dyesub prints for a fixed fee.
