I am looking for some advice on printers.
My girlfriend is an artist and printmaker who sells inkjet prints and cards of her work through galleries and from her website. She has been using a Canon ip4600 printer which has probably printed thousands of cards and hundreds of prints over the years she has had it. It is now coming to the end of its life and she wants to replace it but what with?

I have looked at the Canon pixma pro 100 and pro 10 and think the pigment inks longer life in the pro 10 would be the way to go for her prints but does anyone have an opinion ink usage, do pigment ink printers cost more per print than dye ink printers?
Any other advice would be welcome.

From the couple of reviews, the canon pro printers get very good reviews, been using my canon IP8500 for years, although admittedly, with 8 individual ink cartridges ranging in price from £6-15 per cartridge, it's not the cheapest way of printing. I know people have raved about the Epson pro range A3 printers over the years, but I usually use DS colour labs for most of my printing needs. http://dscolourlabs.co.uk/

Thanks. In my hours of web research I'd not stumbled across those reviews, I'll have a read.
