I've just had 200+ pics printed today at Boots and they are all a lot different than how they look on on the laptop. They are all to contrasty (if that's an actual word). How does everyone else get around this?

Did you have the auto enhancement/fix box checked by any chance, I made that mistake once and ended up with an over processed look.

When I went to Boots I had two options the Kodak machine or the Fuji machine, I used Fuji. When you load your media up and go through the settings and sizes there is a page you come to that asks if you want to auto fix etc, I being in a rush didn't pay much attention to what I was doing and checked the box, the results were not very nice as I had already corrected them at home.

This may or may not be what happened to you.

POAH, my screen is not calibrated, how would I go about doing this, and how would I find out if they're srgb?

Barso, where is the auto enhance/fix box?

You'll need some hardware like a spyder 4 to calibrate the screen. Without this your brightness, contrast, colour temp and colour saturation is probably well off so when you edit images they are not edited to standard settings

Does a line through your name and the word 'suspended' underneath mean what I think it does?

I expect sarcastic answers. I don't want them, but I have been around long enough. :)

It means exactly what it says as does the other option "banned".

I think it was as a result of that thread on gay photographers at Gatwick being hassled inappropriately.
