Hi Everyone,
Just having a sort out of all our old family printed film photos.
Just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for a company to scan, I would guess about 300-400 printed phots.
Thanks for any help or advice,
Alex
TBH, I'd treat the job of scanning them in as a trip down memory lane and buy a reasonable scanner to do the job. That would almost certainly be cheaper than farming the work out.
Alternative: get a copying stand, put your digital camera on it and photograph the prints that way. If you've got a phone with a camera, you have a choice of low cost stands for using that, starting from less than £30 on Amazon (search for "phone copy stand")
As Nod and Andrew said, if you have the time I would suggest buying a scanner like an Epson V500 or even one of the 3000 series and scan them yourself.
It is time consuming but I really enjoyed the reminiscing as I scanned them and it also meant I could tweak the images to my liking.
Hi guys, sorry I didn't get an email notification.
Actually I hadn't thought of doing it myself, but I think you might be right about the reminiscing bit
I have a a cannon printer/scanner, it's a bit slow, but I think it would do the job.
