Print size vs viewing distance

Hi is there a general rule of thumb about the ratio of print size vs viewing distance? i have a client who seems intent on the biggest image possible (maybe 66" x 44") with a viewing distance of about 1.5M

It seems a bit big to me,:shrug: any thoughts?
