A comment on another thread made me think that I should mention something I did earlier today.
Having a quick look through Camera price buster, and looking at the very substantial price hikes of equipment made me wonder if I could be underinsured. My broker has a list of all my stuff with serial numbers, but as I'm insured on a replacement basis, I have just updated all the values of my bodies(not such a big hike) and lenses (very significant bearing in mind that lenses don't depreciate like bodies). In fact quite a few of my lenses are selling 2nd hand for significantly more than I paid for them (eg 500mm f4).
So I suggest you check your policy details!!
