Price of fuel at the garage nearest you........

The BP station in our village, unleaded is currently 127.9 per litre.

No idea of the current price - not looked at the signs. When I need fuel, I buy it and since I need it, the price is relatively unimportant.

A few years ago, there was a fuel station about 20 miles away that was so much cheaper that it was worth me driving there just to fill up - taking into account my time as well as the fuel cot involved in getting thgere and back. These days, I fill up when it's convenient - usually at Sainsburys. Despite Shell's claims about improved economy using their fuels, Having done extended tests (same road, same time of day, same speed etc) I found NO difference in either the indicated consumption or the calculated figure.

cheeky gits at the petrol station near me put the 'all singing all dancing' whatever it's called diesel at the pumps where if the station is empty you'd use them first (if you get what i mean). and the 'normal' diesel for the person who would drive up behind you.

i went to fill up the other day, i was up to about £35 when i realised it was the dear stuff at 144.9!! SCAN. DA. LLOUS!!

I could buy a diesel, but that would be spending thousands on a captial purchase to save hundreds in fuel each year, plus the servicing / maintenance costs are typically higher.

And you don't see many mid or rear engined diesels, so I'd struggle to find one that I wanted.

127.9 @ Tesco
126.9 @ Asda

Not so bad in a 01 Fiesta, but it still hurts!

Filled up today at the local Morrisons. 134.9 for Diesel. Tank full should last me about 4 weeks in the land rover though as I'm in the company van all week and any time I nip out in the evenings I use the Smart.

its only 129.9 up here , i thought they were keeping the price the same throughout the country ??

Diesel is 134.9 in Tesco here in Braintree....

Shame the government doesn't seem to realise this when making recommendations on what you can claim for business mileage!

Petrol is 129.9 (.9 is pointless) and diesel 134.9 here, it's always cheaper in Boston & Grantham by a few pence but nobody knows why.

Yeh well ....it'll be £1.50 by the summer and there's not a thing we can do about it ....unless we all stopped using our cars at once .

Yup! .... Surely that's the point  ...... Leaves more fuel for the rich and powerful!

Hmm, Esso-131.9
Tesco 133.9
And since tesco stopped 1 point per pound on fuel they can poke it!
Disco diesel gets about 450miles per tank, saab cabrio gets around 500, or 650 if we go on a trip as opposed to the rally stages to work!
my bike costs 22 to fill and gives around 230 miles.

Well, I'm not rich but the engine in my car is fairly powerful (250bhp). Or did you mean political / economical power. Don't have any of that :p.

Whatever fuel costs, I will pay, since I need to get to work to earn money to pay the mortgage.
