Previewing Raw files

Evening,

Is there anyway I can turn my Raw files into thumbnails so I can get a better idea of what the picture is? Rather than the default photoshop file type picture?

I'm not sure what Nikon do, but with canon you get DPP in the box, which can act as a browser and displays RAW thumbnails (with "RAW" in little letters if it's a raw). Does Nikon provide such software?

Yes, I have been using this to edit pictures. It is a sort of pre-editing piece of software before you open them up in photoshop.

Indeed I'm talking about the NEF files. Should have mentioned this. Thank you for the link.
