Hi there,
I Normally frequent the Motorsport section on here and don't really venture into many of the other sections but thought I would share some news with you.
I have had my photographs published in two pretty major publications over the last 2 weeks.
Firstly was a full page in the race programme for the recent A1GP event at Brands Hatch, the organisers of the GT Cup series had approached me and asked if I could supply some photographs for a spotters guide. They wanted side on shots of the 34 different cars taking part (a good chance to practice my panning). I managed to get all the pics on the day and got them over to the publishers in time for the deadline.
Heres a picture of the page in the programme: -
and the credit at the front of the programme: -
Chuffed with this apart from the fact they spelt my website address wrong (should be www.dunlopix.com)
Secondly, I was contacted by a competitor in the Toyo Tires Racing series who asked me if I would be at Silverstone for their race. He mentioned that a magazine called 'Retro Cars' covers the events and that there usual photographer couldn't make it so there may be a chance 1 or 2 of my pics may make it to the magazine. I was contacted a couple of days after the event by a writer from the magazine and I sent him some pics.
The latest edition of the magazine hit the shelfs today and I was really proud see a double page spread with loads of my pics and a decent sized credit as well.
and a close up of the credit: -
I have shot as media for the last 2 years and nearly all of my stuff goes to internet based magazines overseas. Although I have had shots published in EVO magazine before these latest two articles take pride of place in my portfolio now.
Regards
Tim
