Yes
Im sure there a lot of experienced sports shooters amongst us,
So what stadium holds the best press facilities in your opinion?
Ive only shot at deepdale (PNE) and I think the facilitis are great, but it does seem to get a bit crowded prior to games there.
Keep Shooting :geek:

Theres a few on here shoot at deepdale. Its OK .. there all different.. I dont think any stand out.. you get some food and a drink and some powerpoints.. what more could you want :)

not sports, but download festival today had loads of crates of cold beer :D

Snooker at the Crucible had 2 hot meals a day and a help yourself fridge (occasionally staffed by Betfred ladies)... that wasn't too shabby... :p

I did an international.. England B game at Burnleys Turf moor.. all the press upstairs for large full choice hot buffet ... if only every time :)

At LSV for the England international yesterday we got a hot meal, very nice pork and mushroom stew with roast spuds and roast veg, there was also a pasta option and cakes and ice cream for afters.

For me it has to be at Arsenal. Full english breakfast buffet before the game and individual boxes off bangers and mash after the game and the press room has plenty of room.

Arsenal is by far the best for Football. Free Wi-Fi which is lightning fast. 3 course meal before the match with also starter of sandwiches and fruit. unlimited supply of coffee, tea and fizzy drinks. self service for food so can have as much as you like. once put on small amount and was told off as i didn't have enough on plate so told to put more on.

After match you get either pie and chips or fish and chips. This is all for Photographers I think the Journalists get same but it is definitely sometimes worth just going to Arsenal for the food.

Don't think I can top Gareths offering :). Headingleys' always offered nice food when I've visited, Warrington had nice snap too the last visit!, my usual fair is limited to a pie & coffee at the Galpharm though:shake:.
Best ever was at the old Wembly for the American Footy!, sponsored by Budwiser & Coca Cola which ment a tent full of free Beer & Coke (all gone by the 3rd quarter:eek:) + a pitch side bag which had sandwiches, fruit juice, cakes/snacks etc trimendous:D. Kind regards Graham.

Best in the North is Newcastle United. Varied menu and something for everyone. Never been to Emeriates but everyone who has sings its praises.

Defo Arsenal by far the best one! Easy to eat to much beforehand and really not feel like shooting ;)

Chelsea is a small room, not worth bothering about, never got there when there were sarnies or coffees left! Fulham has a few butties and coffee again its tiny. Spurs wasn't too bad, big room, sarnies and drinks.

I absolutely concur with this - almost restaurant quality food! (ok, not quite but it is good lol)

Best facilities i have experienced were at wembley :D

For League grounds West Brom is the best i have encountered closely followed by Derby County and Leicester City, have to say i dont think much to Deepdales press facilities

Hang on a sec, if you cover those things where round leather things get chucked around they actually feed and water you???

Blimey you lot don't know your born!

If the rufty tufty world of motorsport you are lucky to get a coffee - luckier still if its warm and drinkable!

Millennium Stadium food is good. Last time I was there in the autumn I got, Chicken in White wine sauce, with mustard mash and warm bread rolls. Followed by a brilliant treacle sponge pudding with as much custard as I could eat.

However, the rest of the facilities are less impressive for togs. Room in the basement with no windows and ropey internet access followed by a mammoth walk around the underground bits of the stadium to get out onto a pitch which is a long way away from your position with equally ropey internet access.

The Hop Farm Festival was alright last year, free bottles of water, free ice cream (it was ben and jerrys as well!) since it was so hot and sandwiches were free too...the WiFi was pretty good as well. Going to Brightling Horse Trials next month so I'll post again when I've been.

never really been bothered about press rooms and freebie's till i went to wembley, was very nice.

Not sports events, but here's some I've had so far...

Offshore Europe Oil Exhibition

Big, spacious press room. You also got tables with power and free WiFi access. There was a buffet table with two waiting staff and a fridge full of beer, coke, water etc. Every so often they'd refresh the buffet table - you had a breakfast and lunch. They also came round to take away your plates, which was nice. Press packs from all the exhibitors along one wall too, and a central table with press releases on it.

David Cameron visit to Aberdeen

I think it was just water and Kit Kats on this one.

Scottish Government events

If you're lucky, water and biscuit-type snacks.

SNP Conference

Press room for this is normally packed. Something went wrong with the WiFi in Aviemore. Sometimes they leave big glass bottles of fizzy water outside the door (for the delegates I think).

Just got back from Liverpool Int Tennis tournament... A very friendly place... coffee, bottles of water and decent sandwiches...

got free baguettes at Zolder and Assen champcar races.. pretty much any other media centre i've worked in you'll be lucky if you get a glass of water.

Le Mans at the weekend had a new cafe in the media centre. Soggy sandwich and fizzy water €9!!!!!!

LOL - Silverstone GP when it was sponsored by Fosters used to be good. They had a lorry in the Marshall camp field full of fosters larger and run BBQ's with free food. Everyone had crates stacked outside their tent. :D

fosters is one step lower than water on the boozing scale :)

I got some sarnies, M&M's and some cans of coke yesterday... but it wasn't really a press room, more of a green room but hey, its a step up as far as I was concerned!

Got curry, rice, chips, nan bread, desert and drinks at Hillsborough on Tuesday, very well looked after.

Unlimited pizza at Saracens who are sponsored by Dominos!

Pies and some sandwiches on offer at City Ground in Nottingham today... with tea, coffee and water to wash it down!
