I've shot a fair few local festivals and music concerts etc, all arranged through a contacts i've made that have a lot to do with local events, so they've been happy to pay me to do the work.
But now i've reached a stage where I want to improve my portfolio further and maybe gain passes for some bigger events and make more contacts. E.g. i'd love to be able to shoot something like Latitude festival (I know something like Glastonbury is quite out of reach!).
May sound a bit silly
but is it really just the case of sending some emails and just hoping you get a response? Does anyone who's freelance and does this type of thing for a living have any advice? Would it help having a publication (press) send u?
Thanks
