Press Pass requirement

Hello guys,
my name is Salvio and I'm new in this forum.

I live in London and I have been recently contacted by a local newspaper in Italy with a proposal to shoot all the away UEFA Champions League Games of my hometown team, and I have started to dream with open eyes as you can imagine, no problem for the gears, I have decided to invest around £1000 to rent all the equipment.

They can provide me a press pass but as I'm just a beginner and I do not have any personal license as a photographer, can someone let me know if I will be allowed to do that ? If not what I have to do ?

If they sort you out with the press accreditation you don't need to worry.

Just make sure you are insured (public liability insurance), I'd imagine this is a requirement for big events like this?

Hopefully one of the football togs can let you know if there is a datco or similar thing you'll need to sort?
